who we are

The name, Telescopic Ventures, is a reference to finding things usually hard to see with the naked eye, as well as discovering new things currently unseen. We’re an early-stage venture capital firm with a mission to partner with the most innovative technology companies who have a vision to make a huge impact on the world. We actively work with our portfolio companies on early business development (closing early customers), strategy (business, market, and security), and product integrations that help strengthen the company’s place in the market. Building a company from scratch is very tough, but most of us were also entrepreneurs and operators and understand first-hand the growing pains that come along with building toward a great vision. We’re here to assist with that goal.

Our investment philosophy

Our investment philosophy, Applied Frontier Technology, guides our approach to the market. The companies we partner with are at the intersection of radical forward innovation and real-world implementation. We are sector agnostic and focused mainly on B2B and enterprise applications of these technologies.

The founders we seek are curious, capable in their respective fields, passionate — and seek to apply that passion and talent towards solving the world's most challenging problems. 

Early-stage for us is Pre-seed through Series A.  We are not opposed to leading, and happily co-invest with many partners and early-stage investors. 

Four main themes drive our thesis and guide where we actively seek to make investments:

1. Increasing decentralization of computing and cognitive analysis

2. Increasing automation within traditional industries and sectors

3. Growing need to fast track sustainability

4. Implementing security strategy is not a ‘nice-to-have,’ it’s a must for all companies moving forward
