Sunil serves Telescopic as a firm advisor. He’s also currently a Senior Director at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) by way of acquisition of his company, Scytale (“sigh-tail”), where he was founder and CEO. Scytale was a venture-backed startup that helped enterprise security and DevOps engineers build cloud-native authentication and authorization platforms using CNCF technologies like SPIFFE.

Before that, he was Vice President at Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP), leading investments in companies such as Bastille Networks, Claroty, Illusive Networks, iSIGHT, Kandou Bus, and Team8 while being a board observer for many more. Prior to that, he led product and engineering teams at Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Mandiant, Arbor Networks, and iDEFENSE. 

He loves to create environments where the best and brightest do what they do best: build. This means providing tools, clearing obstacles, taking on as much of their dirty work as he can, and cleaning up messes. Sunil values individuals who 1) question everything; and 2) ask for forgiveness instead of permission.
